Today we see more and more documentaries and movies questioning if the man Jesus existed or not. Some say he was God in the flesh, and this forms the foundation of their faith. Some say Jesus survived the cross and married Mary Magdalene and had children. Others say here was no historical Jesus, just a spirit Jesus. Then there are those that say the whole idea of a real Jesus is ridiculous. The group that believes in a historical Jesus is known as fundamentalist Christians who are also known as literalists. They believe the Bible is the literal word of God that must be taken literally. If one does not take it literally, they will be sent to hell and punished by God forever. Gnostic Christians believe that the scriptures are metaphors and allegories for higher learning and were never meant to be taken literally. This is the way the ancients communicated since the beginning of time. For the Gnostics, Christ was spirit and never became flesh. The Apostle Paul appears to bare this out in his own writings, which are considered to be the earliest written scriptures. He never mentions baby Jesus, the trial, the torture, miracles, healings, the star of Bethlehem, teachings of Jesus, and so on. It is as he never even heard of a flesh and blood Jesus. In his writings Paul uses a lot of Gnostic Christian terms such as, the inner man, mystery of God, Christ within, and more. He also preaches the symbolic death, burial, and resurrection of Christ who represents all believers. Believers are seen as dying to self and being raised as a new spirit creature. We are taken from ignorance of God to a new awareness. Most people live according to the flesh and not the spirit. These who are the walking dead need to be resurrected from sleep (death) in order to see God. The revelation we receive is the knowledge of Christ in us who raises us from the dead and leads us back to the father. He saves us from our ignorance and worship of the flesh. He heals us of our ignorance to a new life in Christ. Christ is spirit and would never become a man of flesh. All flesh is sin. Christ is the spirit of truth who leads us from within to all truth. Roman Christianity came and saw the early Gnostic Christians as their enemy. Why is because Gnostics had Christ within and had no need for churches or doctrine. The Roman Christians moved up in power and decided that Jesus was God in the flesh and took the metaphors of the Bible literally. They were the founders of literal thinking that was never seen before. The metaphors and allegories of the Bible now had to be taken literally or you would be burned alive tied to a stake. It was the birth of thought police. One had to believe Jesus was a real man of flesh that died for your sins, if not, you would be tortured and burned alive. After your death it would then be our loving father’s turn to cast us into hellfire. The Church of Rome seized power and began to dictate which scriptures were from God, and which ones would be burned in the fire. They also created doctrines known as the Nicene Creed. The modern churches of today say they have nothing to do with Rome, yet their doctrine is pretty much the same. Doctrines of the Deity of Christ in the flesh were actually voted on. Rome decided what truth was and enforced it on the masses. Rome represented a Jesus of flesh that built a material Church on earth, run by a religious hierarchy that ruled with an iron hand. No longer were you allowed to be a free thinker in Christ! The Gnostic Christians had Christ in them leading them to all truth, so they had no use for churches and religious power blocks. They were the original Christians that needed to be taken out of the way, thus they were slaughtered by the thousands. Innocent men, women, and children were butchered like animals in the name of the Holy Roman Empire. It would be like a new president voted into the White House. The President would then demand that all citizens must believe that Uncle Sam is a literal historic person, or be put to death. Christianity of Rome was built on the foundation of innocent blood. Roman Christianity not only decided what the people were going to read and what they were going to believe, they also did something very strange. They took Greek scriptures that they approved of, and married them with Jewish scriptures which we call the Bible. The Jesus of the New Testament uses allegories of love and focuses on the Gnostic true God who is pure and unlimited love. God the Father in the New Testament is never given a name. According to Gnostic Christians, he is the unknown God that is above all and is the essence of pure love. We have a God of war who came to earth as a man only to preach absolute love and forgiveness. Now some will say, “No you have that wrong. Jehovah is the father and Jesus is the son. So if Jesus is the son of Jehovah, how come his entire teaching is in direct opposition and conflict with Jehovah’s brutal ways? Something is wrong here, or we have one very hypocritical God on our hands. The early Gnostic Christians had nothing to do with the Jewish God of war Jehovah (Yahweh). Rome stepped in and created a Bible by marrying the Jewish Scriptures together with the Greek Gnostic texts. A Jewish God of war was merged with a Gentile God of love in order to form a new hybrid Christian religion based on an earthly foundation of power and control. Anyone who raised an objection was slaughtered. This is why Christianity spread across the land so fast! It was dangerous not to be a Christian, and most Gnostics were cleansed from the earth through bloodshed. As for the scriptures, all the other non-approved inspired writings were put to the flame. Gnostics were forced to hide their sacred scriptures in the ground. Some can be viewed at: http://www.gnosis.org/naghamm/nhl.html In the process of creating a new joint Jewish and Christian religion, every effort had to be made to force prophecies from the Old Testament to merge with the New Testament Jesus. The Jews had prophecies of their Messiah to come who is to be another Joshua and war leader. Messiah was to come and slay the Gentiles so the Jews could become the rightful heirs of the world sitting on the throne of David. They were considered to be God’s chosen to rule the world and to slay all Gentile nations. Jesus was not the Messiah promised by Judaism; that Messiah was to be a conqueror and a political leader. All those not believing in Jehovah would be slaughtered. Somehow this God of wrath magically turned into a God of love. This makes no sense at all. Jesus stood in complete opposition to the war mentality of Jehovah. The original Christian faith had nothing to do with the Orthodox Judean religion. Rome married the Jewish faith to the Gnostic faith in hopes of settling and uniting the Jews under one roof. The Jews were very dangerous to Rome and had revolted in an uprising more than once. Vicious wars erupted between the Jews and the Roman Empire that greatly weekend Rome from within. So we must assume that Rome felt a new Judean Christianity would unite the empire under one religion, and one kingdom. Rome allowed diversity and freedom to all faiths, but the Jews wanted to separate and destroy the Gentile pagans. With them, compromise was not a solution. The only solution was the total destruction of the Roman Empire in the name of their God of war. Now do not let me paint a pretty picture of Rome because they were highly brutal too. The new Judean Christian faith was invented in order to bring the two together, but the grand scheme failed. Today Gnostic Christianity is making a slow comeback with the book and movie called the DaVinci Code. But they too believe in a literal Jesus who married and had children who then became Kings and Queens of Europe. This is in error since the foundation of this has to reside in a literal flesh and blood Jesus, and Jesus said his kingdom was not of this world. Christ did not have to become flesh. They say Christ had to come as a man to die on a cross for the sins of the world. Then why all the brutality and violence? If God is all powerful, is he not capable of forgiving all those who come to him? Why is a brutal human sacrifice needed? If God is all powerful, why have his people exterminate other races? In other words, why can't he just wave his hand and all the enemies of God's chosen would vanish. Any God that promotes blood, violence, or war, is a false God of this world. The kingdom of heaven has nothing to do with this kingdom of flesh. The real God is pure love. Christ has always been in the children of God leading mankind back to the Father. There was never a time when we were without his presence. He is not the Jewish Messiah who is to come in clouds because he is in us now and not “out there.” As Jesus says, “The Kingdom of God is within.” God is not coming to us, we are going to him. The true God of love is the Father. Most churches today are nothing more than religious cults. They smile and talk to you only as long as you do not ask hard questions. If you do, you will be shunned or even asked to leave. Truth invites critical thinking and does not run from it. Many churches keep their followers in the dark by forbidding members to touch other religious objects or books. They are instructed not to listen to the preaching of other religions or they will backslide into hellfire. They are enjoined never to doubt the teachings of their own religion, however unconvincing their teachings may appear to be. The more they keep their followers on a one-track mind, the more easily they can keep them under control. If anyone of them exercises freedom of thought and realizes that he had been in the dark all the time, then it is alleged that the devil has possessed his mind. The poor person is given no opportunity to use his or her common sense, education, or intelligence. Those who wish to change their views on religion, are then taught to believe that they are not perfect enough to be allowed to use free will in judging anything for themselves. Blind faith is the foundation of most churches of today. "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with
sense, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use." - Galileo Galilei True love does not create a “It’s us against them” mentality. Love does not threaten people to burn in hell for thinking beyond official doctrine. Love is not acting as thought police and enforcing doctrine on others. Christians today are totally ignorant of history and do not realize the amazing lack of evidence there is for historical and fleshly Jesus which was invented by Rome for religious power and control over the masses. They do not understand that if scripture is taken to be literal, then we run in to many contradictions. We do not have original copies of the four gospels to compare with. But we do have may copies of copies that never fully agree with each other. Some scribes felt Jesus was God so they would fudge the translation to show it as such. It is called political agendas. Other scribes while writing copies felt that Jesus was not God, and thus would fudge the translation their way. Note too that any writing translated from one language to another looses a lot of the meaning in the translation. You also have to deal with slang and idioms of that culture which can never be taken literally! If I say to you Jesus kicked the bucket,” you understand it as an idiom for dying. Translate it into the language of another culture and it looses the meaning. If Christ needed to redeem us from sin, he could do it from heaven. He did not have to come in the form of a man to be brutally butchered on a cross for a blood thirsty God. Churches today totally dwell on sin. Instead of empowering us, they make us to feel like filthy sinners in the sight of God. We are made to feel that we deserve death, and only a human sacrifice will appease a volcano God of wrath. The true God of love known as the Father, allows us to be who we are and to grow in him. He empowers us and does not shake his finger at our every sin. All children stumble and he knows this. There is no sin, there are only lessons! Churches go on about the lack of morals today, yet what do they do about it? They offer clap offerings to the Lord on Sundays. What is the man Jesus never existed? Have you ever watched a movie that touched you so deeply that it altered your perceptions and even your life? Was it really important that the movie was only fiction? If we read the allegorical words of Jesus, obey the, and live by them, is it crucial to your faith that he be a real man of flesh. If Jesus never existed as a man on earth, is it really that important to our faith? I must ask you, does it really matter if Jesus was really a man on earth if you have Christ in you? -The End- Related Links Click here for complete list of Stargods articles
